First Press Meeting on PRADA–Kolhapuri Chappal Controversy

The Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA) will be holding its first official press briefing following the recent controversy involving the use of Kolhapuri Chappal designs by international fashion house PRADA without appropriate attribution.

Today, a conference call is scheduled between the top leadership team of MACCIA and PRADA to discuss the issue and explore a constructive resolution.
Shri Lalit Gandhi, President of MACCIA, will address members of the press and share details of the Chamber’s official position, the outcome of its dialogue with PRADA, and the way forward in protecting Maharashtra’s artisanal heritage.
