Agricultural & Rural Development

The Agriculture & Rural Development Committee of MACCIA works to strengthen one of India’s most vital sectors. It provides members with timely updates on the current scenario of agriculture and rural development in India and Maharashtra, including new government policies, GRs and schemes. The committee organizes regular discussions, seminars, workshops and stakeholder meets with farmers, agrientrepreneurs and ancillary industries to understand their challenges and opportunities.

Members are encouraged to actively participate in Kisan Melas, agri-based exhibitions and mahotsav, while the committee also arranges exposure visits to foodprocessing industries across Maharashtra. Cluster DPRs are prepared for different regions to drive localised growth.

By fostering collaboration and co-operative working among members, the committee creates a platform for smooth interaction with government agencies.
